Together with NGA.NET, the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA) and its One USDA program were among the Elite Eight at the 2015
Igniting Innovation Awards. The awards program selected 30 finalists
from a large pool of innovative government and industry solutions
developed to address the government’s biggest IT challenges. The final
showcase and competition were held February 5th, 2015 at the
Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington,
D.C., where a team of judges and event attendees voted on the Top 8

In a nutshell, One USDA is a modern, cost-effective, standardized and
interoperable HR solution that supports strategic management of human
capital within the USDA’s 29 agencies. This solution has saved the USDA
millions of dollars and cut the four-month hiring time in half, while
consolidating over 100 disparate systems and databases.
Nextgov calls it “groundbreaking.”
Andy Robinson, chairman of the AC-IAC Institute for Innovation Advisory Board, says he was “blown away” with the showcase.
This recognition comes on the heels of our taking 2nd place for Best Implementation of an Enterprise Technology in the recent Human Capital Management for Government’s 8th annual awards.
But what makes us even happier – and prouder – are the real-world
benefits we bring to the USDA’s 29 agencies, and to all our customers
around the world.
